remote, adj: far removed in space, time, or relation

So unfortunately, it's already Thursday morning and I don't have my illo posted for this week's topic of remote. Unless I can get my can in gear after work today, I'm afraid this older picture will have to do.
This is an acrylic I did in a painting class at the local art center this past spring. I'm glad I stuck with a monochromatic scheme because I learned how to keep things from being "too blue." Adding black, white and even green helped keep the blue from being too much.
Anyway, enjoy Pigfreid.

"Pigreid realized that the best places to think were the remote ones."

(I'll post again if I finish my original idea for remote!)

  1. Nice stuff. Quite a haunting image, I could quite easily see it on a book cover for something like Lovecraft.

  2. pigfreid is adorable and he looks so peaceful. :)

  3. Haunting the remote landscapes of our minds ... I like it ...

  4. wow. this is cute, sweet, and beautiful all at the same time.

so misterious and scary, I can't guess who are behind the cape, But I can imagine some kind of evil-magic behind!
Love the contrast (maybe too blue) a great work!!!)
