Imperturbable Charm

This is a clip from one of my favorite daily comics. I smiled when I saw it, because it not only relates so well to the current generation of children (and adults!), but because this is all I have been able to accomplish today.

Yesterday, I hopped about madly from foot to foot, waiting for the mailman to arrive. Like so many other Potter fans, I was waiting for the latest installment in this saga of good and evil. I am a fan of these books not just because they were a great tool for me to engage reluctant readers, not because the fight between good and evil is one of the oldest literary themes to be used (and it is used very well), but because I am a huge fan of reading. These books are a great escape, and escape is what I've done today.

You see, I'm finished with the book, and I am drained. (I'll try not to post spoilers, but let's just say that I'm not sure I can stand the supposed two year wait for the final installment of Harry, Hermione and Ron!
