Doodles

I thought since I hadn't posted any new art in a while, I'd show you guys some drawings. (I'm actually starting another piece in watercolor, but want to save it until it's done before I share. )
This piece was a response to the Illustration Friday prompt of Instinct. "Louisa's instincts told her there was something very wrong with the new house." Looking at it now, I think it's probably Coraline-inspired.And there's this smug lady. She's a birthday gift for someone and is quite pleased about it. After all, who doesn't love a pig?

    There's a chance for us to see some bigwigs in the kid-lit/SCBWI scene at the end of May. The only thing is, it requires us to road trip it up to Abilene. Austin folks are the ones organizing it...so I thought it'd be cool if we could get some illo folk together from H-town, go to Austin one day and do a meet-up, and then the next day all drive up to the Panhandle.

    What do you think?
