I'm taking no chances this week, and am going ahead and posting a very rough sketch for this week's theme of Safe. I haven't looked yet, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought of being in a mother's arms as a safe place. I may be able to paint and post the final version of this, or even come up with a different interpretation...but I'm not leaving anything to chance- especially with the lack of results from last week. (I still haven't been able to paint that one!)

Safe, adj.- free from harm or risk
I'm taking no chances this week, and am going ahead and posting a very rough sketch for this week's theme of Safe. ReplyDeletethis is precious! btw, re: your last entry - you're selling yourself short in the 'we're not worthy' category - i mean, you teach 7th graders - quite possibly the most difficult age, in my opinion - and your students think you're cool? you must be doing something right! no doubt you'll get back in the swing of things w/ your artwork very soon.

ReplyDeleteits definitely hard to find time for your art but when you do its worth it. This illo is adorable, I like how the moon is looking fondly at the baby bear cubs sitting in their mothers arms. lovely!
