fa-la la-la la-la la!

I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas! I know we did. Friday we drove down to my parent's house in San Antonio, the MINI packed full of gifts and luggage. My grandparents now live with my parents, so it makes for an even more full holiday, considering I haven't been able to see them most of my life. (They've lived on the west coast for years.) We were able to enjoy great cooking, baking, movies and game-playing. (I never realized how ruthless my grandparents were at cards! sheesh) It was a lot of fun and we were able to do some pretty good visiting. I was sad to go Tuesday, but it was time for us to come back home.
This is the view from the rearview mirror in the MINI. We thought we'd be returning with more room, but my mom changed that when she gifted us with an HEPA air filter. (click on the picture for notes on Flickr!)

Here are a few of my favorite things: My husband ordered a light table (ya-hoo!) which will allow me to work much more quickly; my mom got me the Dr. Seuss calendar (I'm a calendar and clock nut, I don't know why.) and I adore it; They both gave me a pair of lovely leather gloves, because everyone knows how cold myhands always are-bad circulation I guess; I got another pair of santa socks (because I love funky socks, too); my genius brother gifted me with a $20 gift card to Half-Price books (These are just a few of the books I bought the day after Christmas.); and not pictured is the tin I got from my Grandma full of peanut butter and oatmeal raisin cookies. (yu-hum!)
I hope everyone was able to enjoy such gifty goodness. Now it's on to a new year and another step towards who knows what.

Best wishes to you and yours!
