Chinese New Year: Rooster
I feel like caca-doodle-doo-doo!
The colors on these birds did not come out as rich as they appear in my book. I'm going to have to figure out how to saturate color in Photoshop. :) Anyway, I have a really cool background planned, one that emphasizes the fact that one bird is meant to represent night, the other bird to represent day. Overall meaning: the passing of time, beginning and end, new year/old. But I'm too darn sick to play with my colors right now. I'll add the background later.
Oh, I know I'm posting early- more chances for comments, who can resist? The thing that really gets me, those of you who publish on Monday! What is up with that?! Oh well, early bird...blah...blah...blah

I do like the colors in both your "attempts", whether they are as rich as intended or not. And beyond the whole night/day aspect, there is also a yin/yang, balance feel!
ReplyDeleteFeel better and good luck heading off those germies! We've got some nasty ones in our school as well.
I love the day/night/beginning/end idea...
ReplyDeleteand I think the color is fine, too...welcome to IF!
