Facebook and Frogs

I'm still around...just feeding my Facebook addiction and doing things here and there. I'll try to get those studio shots up soon. The weather has gone all cold and gloomy (Looks like winter has finally shown up in Texas), so the light's not been very good. In the mean time, have a little taste of some character sketches I've begun for my dummy book.

I've got a running cast of similar characters, and I'm working on ways to make them distinguishable from one another. Hopefully you can read six very different attitudes here. And here is the protagonist. Poor guy has no idea what he's in for. I think I need to fix his ear-piece. It looks like he has on goggles-doh!

  1. Hey there! Just wanted to stop by and say "hi." I found you through your email to the kidlitosphere group, and I'm glad. I am a teacher who loves children's books and therefore have an admiration for illustrators. Good luck with your work

  2. Shel, I taught seventh grade for five years before I made the transition to stay home with my son and pursue illustration. I think it's fun that so many of us in the kidlit field also have experience in the education field. Thanks for stopping by!
