What? I'm done?

Yes folks, the long gripe-fest is over. I have completed my assignment for New York's next annual SCBWI conference! woo-hoo! I was going to do an eight page spread, but realized that my last two pages weren't all that strong, and honestly, with the 'testing-craze' that is taking over my school, the papers to grade, the parents to contact and everything else that is going on-six is enough. I'll shortly begin working on my promotional postcard that I have so much fun swapping with other illustrators at the conference. (Maybe I'll even give you a sneak peek before I go.)

I had fun doing this, stretching my painting muscles. I had to refrain from looking at other artists' work, because it shames me into my turtle shell. I realize that although my "style" as it were isn't technically difficult, or extremely impressive, it's pleasing to me.

Your style is a delight, AND..it is a style that kids would enjoy and relate too...humor, color, fun, and quality...what more could anyone want?
I've tagged you...you are supposed to post 6 wierd things about yourself on your blog. There are more details on my blog if you need them, but no pressure.
Have a BLAST in NYC! Wish I was going. You're going to have such fun. Here's wishing for many client's and ADs eyes to see your work and take down your info!
