What a World, What a World!

Okay, so the drama has officially ended. Actually, you could say it's just beginnning. Whatever. Husband has officially been offered the new job in a new city. That means we will be moving. That means we have to touch up and put up the house for sale. That means we have to go house shopping!

All of this of course means I should be busy, busy, busy with housework...being a good productive bee. Am I? Of course not! I can't even use the excuse that I'm working on one of three contest entries that I've begun, or am reading a great novel, or am so busy working out at the gym that I can claim,"Oh, where has the time gone?" I-am-procrastinating.

Gee, I wonder why? Maybe it's because it's one of my very fun and glorious stress-coping methods? (HAH!) It could also be because I have so much time on my hands, I don't know what to start first. What-ever, I'm stalled, and my engine refuses to turn over. (The 101 heat index, with 70% humidity, here in Houston sure as heck isn't helping!)

I think I will go fix myself a tuna sandwich, watch a little tv, take a refreshing shower and go to the store. Hopefully all of that will jump start my system.

Oh, and if you're expecting an I-Fri entry this week-forget it! I'm so overwhelmed right now that I can't even think, much less produce fun and frivolous art! I have other deadlines people! grrrr.....

I'll be back, after my attitude has had a nice massage.

p.s.- I used up A LOT of my Flickr bandwidth for the month, so I dunno how many illustrations/pics will be posted. I can always check and see of my Picasa/Hello account is working once again. Shyeah....

oh my goodness mayflower!! you're moving?!?. i was about to type "your" moving, but i figured you'd gripe about my grammar, hey I'm working on it, but it's hard what with AIM talk and all. So how is your summer going so far? Good I hope. Me and Colette went to Arkansas and it was a blast!! (excuse me : Colette and I) hahaha. well I think I just might take your advice and spend more than just a few days in Mexico with my grandma. Because I do feel guilty for not learning spanish when i was little, but I guess I'll play it by ear. So where are you moving to?!? New city, hopefully not too far. I like your heart octapus. very cute, very cute. Well i miss you a lot and i hope you have an easy move, because they can be a pain. Good luck. write back!

    lots of love always,

  2. Hiya Gulia!
You bet I'd get on to you about your grammar! (hahaha) I'm glad you got to have fun with Colette in Arkansas. So far, nothing too exciting has happened-besides the job stuff. :) Yeah, I will be moving three hours away to Waco. Crazy, hm? I'm going to really miss your silly face! But, now that you know where my blog is, we can still keep in touch. :) Good idea about hanging out with your abuela, you'll really appreciate the time you spend with her when you get older. (I know, "grown-up advice"-yuck!)

P.S i was glad to see you put your girl climbing the tree for ambition. when I saw it it wasn't done yet, because you couldn't decide on if you wanted the right arm up or down. Good decision!

  5. Way to go Katie! That's really exciting, being able to beat those older players, isn't it? I hope you're saving your magazines. :) Do you have a scrapbook with all of those kinds of things? I hope you have fun travelling for your tournament, you went to Waco for camp? That's where I'm moving, so you know how far away it is. I'll be sure to keep in touch with you, as long as you keep dropping by.
